How Our Textiles Are Made

Hand-Embroidery

Hand-Weaving

Intricate stitching is done entirely by hand, stitch by stitch. This slow, meditative process results in textiles that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Each rug and blanket is woven by hand on traditional looms. This process can take weeks or even months, depending on size and complexity. The result is a textile with character, texture, and soul.

Natural Dyeing

Hand-Blocking

Many of our pieces use natural dyes extracted from plants, minerals, and insects. Colors may vary slightly from piece to piece, and will deepen and soften over time—a beautiful reminder that these are made from living materials.

Patterns are printed using hand-carved wooden blocks, pressed into fabric one section at a time. This traditional technique creates subtle variations that give each textile its unique character.

Rugs

Pillows

Vacuum gently and rotate regularly for even wear.
Spot clean with mild soap and water. Wool rugs should be professionally cleaned every 1–2 years.

Most covers can be hand-washed or dry-cleaned. Air dry away from direct sunlight and fluff regularly to keep their shape.

Blankets & Throws

General Care

Hand wash cold with gentle detergent or dry clean.
Lay flat to dry. Brush wool occasionally and store folded in a breathable bag.

Avoid direct sunlight. Natural fibers soften beautifully over time, and slight variations are part of their handmade charm.
